Black bread sandwiches with ham - a detailed recipe.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp. apple jam or peach jam
  • 2 tbsp. l. chopped chives or green onions
  • 350 g cooked ham, cut into cubes (approximately 1.5 cups)
  • 3/4 cup diced celery stalks and 1/4 cup chopped celery leaves
  • 1/2 cup chopped toasted pecans
  • 8 slices of black bread with nuts and raisins, lightly toasted
  • 8-12 slices Havarti cheese (preferably caraway flavored)
  • 8 green salad leaves

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. In a large bowl, combine mayonnaise, applesauce, and chives. Add the ham, celery, celery leaves, and pecans and stir.
  2. Place 4 slices of bread on a clean surface. Place 2-3 slices of cheese on top of each, then spread the ham mixture and cover with 2 lettuce leaves. Place on top sandwiches the remaining bread and cut it diagonally into two pieces.
