These bite-sized sandwiches are perfect for appetizers at house parties and for a light snack when guests drop by unexpectedly, as they're made with simple ingredients often found in the refrigerator. You'll need white bread, butter, mayonnaise, mustard, cucumber, and green onions. Assemble the sandwiches and trim the crusts for an attractive presentation. Then, slice each sandwich into bite-sized bars, and there you have it! Enough for everyone to enjoy.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 8 slices of white sandwich bread
  • 2 tbsp softened butter
  • Half a cucumber, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped chives
  • 1 teaspoon mustard

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Spread one side of each slice of bread with a thin layer of butter. Place one layer of cucumber slices on 4 slices of bread. In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, chives, mustard, and a pinch of salt and black pepper. Spread a thin layer of the mayonnaise mixture on top of the cucumbers. Top with the remaining slices of buttered bread. Trim the crusts and cut each sandwich into thirds.
