In a bowl, toss 3 peeled and thinly sliced cucumbers with 1 tablespoon of salt. Refrigerate for 1 hour, then drain and pat dry. Meanwhile, soak 3 tablespoons of chopped onion in cold water for 15 minutes; drain. In a large bowl, combine 1.5 cups of sour cream and 1.5 teaspoons of sugar, then stir in the cucumbers, onion, some black pepper, and 1/2 cup of chopped pickled cherry peppers.
