Hot dog recipe with frankfurters, fried onions and pickled peppers, a fast food dish.


Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 4 beef or pork sausages (500-600 g), rinse under water and dry with a towel
  • 1 large onion, cut into thin half rings
  • Coarse salt and freshly ground pepper
  • 4 buns for hot dogs
  • Mustard
  • 8-12 mildly hot green pickled peppers
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Preheat oven to 90°C. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan. Add the sausages and cook, turning, until golden brown, about 5 minutes per side. Transfer the sausages to a baking dish and place in the oven to keep warm.
  • Step 2
  • Add onions to the same pan, add salt and pepper and fry, stirring, until golden brown.
  • Step 3
  • Slice the buns in half lengthwise. Place hot sausages inside, spread with mustard, and sprinkle with fried onions and pickled peppers. Wrap the hot dogs in parchment paper or foil and let them steam for 5 minutes.
