Pork sausages make excellent hot dogs. You can pre-scald the sausages and then grill them. These juicy, flavorful sausages will become your favorite ready-to-cook snack.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 4 uncooked chorizo ​​sausages (about 450g)
  • 1 tbsp. l. olive oil
  • 450 g frozen chopped sweet peppers, thawed
  • 450 gr. salsa sauce
  • 2 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, chopped
  • 1 tbsp adobo sauce, from a jar
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 4 hot dog buns
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro, optional

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Preheat grill to medium heat.

    Place the sausages on the grill grate. Grill until golden brown, 20 to 25 minutes. Turn the sausages frequently with tongs, every 4 to 6 minutes. Be sure to close the grill lid.
  2. Place a large cast-iron skillet on a side burner of your grill and turn the heat to medium (if your grill doesn't have a side burner, place the skillet on the grill grate while you preheat it). Add the olive oil and peppers and cook, stirring constantly, until the peppers are softened, about 5 minutes.

  3. Place the salsa in a bowl. Add the chipotle peppers, adobo sauce, and lime juice.
  4. Place chorizo ​​sausages into slit buns and fill with roasted peppers. Top with chipotle pepper salsa and sprinkle with cilantro, if using.
