This fluffy Italian-style omelet is enough to serve a crowd. Combine beaten eggs with Swiss cheese, finely chopped ham, and green peas for a delicious and filling frittata that's a complete meal for breakfast or dinner. For this recipe, use a large cast-iron skillet or oven-safe pan, as the omelet is first cooked on the stovetop and finished in the oven.

1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 10 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 cup frozen green peas, thawed
  • 1 cup grated Swiss cheese
  • 3/4 cup diced ham
  • 1 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Preheat oven to 200°C.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the eggs, milk, 3/4 teaspoon of salt, and a couple of grinds of black pepper. Add the green peas, Swiss cheese, and ham and mix well.

  3. Heat the olive oil in a medium nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the egg mixture and cook until the edges begin to set, about 2 minutes. Then transfer the frittata to the oven and bake until the center is set, 15-20 minutes. Let it rest for 5 minutes, then carefully transfer it to a serving platter and cut into wedges.
