Dress this pasta salad with green peas and ham with a creamy dressing topped with fresh mint and parsley, and you'll have a wonderful spring treat for Easter, when everyone's already craving some greenery. Frozen green peas are a lifesaver any time of year, adding a burst of springtime freshness to every dish.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 3 tbsp sour cream
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped fresh chives
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh mint
  • 1.5 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 220 g dry penne pasta (feathers)
  • 1.5 cups frozen green peas, defrosted
  • 1 cup diced ham

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. In a large saucepan, bring salted water to a boil.
  2. In a large bowl, combine mayonnaise, chives, mint, parsley, sour cream, lemon juice, 1/2 teaspoon salt and a few grinds of freshly ground black pepper.

  3. Add the pasta to boiling water and cook according to package directions. Three minutes before the pasta is done, add the green peas. Drain and rinse the pasta and peas under cold water to cool; add to the bowl with the dressing.
  4. Add the ham to the bowl and toss. Season with salt and pepper to taste. The pasta salad is best served immediately.
