This Italian pasta salad is filled with chunks of salami, mozzarella, tomatoes, giardiniera, and basil. Instead of radiatore, you can use any small pasta you have on hand, such as spirals (fusilli) or bell-shaped (campanelle). A white wine vinegar vinaigrette harmonizes all the ingredients beautifully.

The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
  • 1 small shallot, chopped
  • 200 g of dry radiator paste
  • 100 g salami slices, cut into strips
  • 1 cup fresh mozzarella, diced
  • 1 cup halved grape tomatoes
  • 0.5 cup torn fresh basil leaves
  • 0.5 cups giardiniera, chopped (drained)
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh oregano

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:

  1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil and add salt.
  2. In a large bowl, combine olive oil, vinegar, shallot, 1/2 teaspoon salt and a few grinds of freshly ground black pepper.

  3. Add the pasta to boiling water and cook according to package directions. Drain and rinse the pasta under cold water to cool; add to the bowl with the dressing.
  4. Add salami, mozzarella, tomatoes, basil, giardiniera, and oregano to a bowl and toss. Season with salt and pepper to taste. The pasta salad is best served immediately.
