Italian holiday sandwich - detailed recipe.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 1 Italian loaf (length 35 cm)
  • 230 g cooked Mortadella Bolognese sausage, sliced
  • 120 g Capicola cured ham, sliced
  • 120 g salami sausage, cut into slices
  • 120 g of dry-cured prosciutto ham, sliced
  • 120 g of sharp Provolone cheese, sliced
  • 2.5 cups pickled jardiniere vegetables (such as cauliflower, onions, celery, zucchini, carrots), cut into pieces
  • 1 cup pitted olives, sliced ​​into rings (black and green)
  • 1/2 cup chopped canned peppadew peppers
  • 2 tbsp. l. olive oil
  • 2 tbsp chopped romaine lettuce

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Cut the loaf in half lengthwise. Place mortadella, capicola, salami, prosciutto, and then provolone cheese on the bottom half.
  2. In a bowl, toss the salsa with olives, peppers, and olive oil. Scoop out the top half of the loaf to create a well. Place the salad in the center of the well and sprinkle with the salsa. Gently press the two halves of the sandwich together and cut in half.
