A light Italian dessert made with frozen fruit puree, sugar, and honey. Unlike ice cream, Italian ice cream is dairy-free and easier to digest, bringing refreshment and cooling sensations to the body in hot weather. Make delicious Italian ice cream with strawberries or pineapple, or even better, with both. This combination of both fruits is called "gourmet." Strawberries also pair perfectly with pineapple.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 3 cups halved strawberries or chopped pineapple
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of honey
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. In a blender or food processor, puree the fruit, sugar, honey, lemon juice, and 2 cups of ice until finely chopped. Then add another 1 cup of ice and puree until smooth.
  2. Pour the mixture into a shallow container and freeze for 30 minutes. Scrape the ice with a fork to create a slushy consistency, then freeze for another 2 hours to firm up. Scoop the ice with a spoon and place it into glasses.
