A more aromatic and sweet version of the famous Manhattan cocktail, made with bourbon, vermouth, and bitters. Campari liqueur, orange slices, and a double dose of maraschino cherries add a distinctive Italian flair. A pleasant, delicious cocktail with the rich aroma of premium whiskey, herbs, and a hint of citrus.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 16 ice cubes
  • 4 orange slices
  • 8 maraschino cherries
  • 300 ml Kentucky bourbon (recommended: Maker's Mark)
  • 120 ml vermouth
  • 90 ml Italian bitters (recommended: Campari)
  • 3 tsp sugar, optional

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Divide ice cubes among 4 tumbler glasses. Garnish each glass with 1 orange wedge and 2 maraschino cherries.
  2. Combine bourbon, vermouth and bitters in a pitcher and pour into glasses.

    Note


    If you want your cocktails to be a little sweeter, you can stir 3 teaspoons of sugar into the pitcher before pouring the drinks into glasses.
