White pizza is an elegant alternative to traditional tomato-based pizza. Make your own pizza dough or simply buy pre-made, and top it with ricotta, garlic, mozzarella, and fresh herbs. Brush the dough with olive oil, then spread a ricotta-garlic mixture with chopped parsley, then top with grated mozzarella. Bake on a preheated pizza stone or an inverted baking sheet for a crispy crust. Top the finished pizza with basil or fresh salsa and enjoy.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 1 ball of store-bought pizza dough
  • Extra virgin olive oil, to drizzle
  • 2 cups whole or semi-skimmed ricotta
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • A handful of parsley, finely chopped
  • 2 cups grated mozzarella or provolone cheese, 1 package
  • 10 fresh basil leaves (0.5 cup), thinly sliced

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Preheat oven to 220°C, placing a pizza stone inside, if using.
  2. Stretch the dough into a round shape and transfer it to a baking sheet or pizza peel. Prick the dough several times with the tines of a fork. Drizzle with extra-virgin olive oil. Mix the ricotta with the garlic and parsley, and season with salt and pepper to taste.

  3. Spread the ricotta over the dough. Top with mozzarella or provolone. Bake until crisp, 20 minutes. Sprinkle the finished pizza with chopped basil leaves, slice, and serve.
