Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- Preheat oven to 175°C.
Using cookie cutters, cut out various shapes from the bread and brush them with butter. Arrange them on a baking sheet and bake until golden brown, about 3-5 minutes. - Crack the eggs into a medium bowl by lightly tapping them on the countertop. Gently press the crack with your thumbs and separate the two shell halves. Discard the shells. Season the eggs with a pinch of salt, a pinch of black pepper, and 2-3 drops of blue food coloring to achieve the desired green color. Whisk the eggs until thoroughly combined.
- Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Make sure an adult is nearby. Add the ham to the skillet and cook until lightly browned, about 3 minutes. Stir with a wooden spoon to prevent burning. Pour the eggs directly onto the ham. Cook, without stirring, until the eggs begin to set, about 2 minutes. Use a spatula to fold the eggs as they set.
- Slice the omelette with the edge of a spatula. Transfer the finished omelette to small plates and serve with toasted bread.
