Make a festive ham appetizer that will grace your table with its appearance alone, not to mention its incredible taste – everyone will love it. Thin slices of ham are topped with pineapple rings, and each core is garnished with a maraschino cherry. Everything is baked in a light, caramel-spiced glaze made from brown sugar, apple juice, and Dijon mustard and served straight from the pan.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 1 kg of cooked boneless ham, cut into 18 slices
  • 2 cans of pineapple rings (560g each)
  • 18 maraschino cherries
  • 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons apple juice
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Preheat oven to 200°C.
  2. Place the ham slices in two rows in a ceramic baking dish. Place a pineapple ring on top, and place a pineapple slice in the center of each pineapple ring. maraschino cherryCover with foil and bake for 15 minutes.
