These bars are baked with traditional American chocolate chip cookie dough and are just as delicious, with a crispy exterior and a deliciously soft center. The dough is made with flour, eggs, butter, plenty of chocolate chips, and dark brown sugar, which imparts a wonderful caramel note, rich color, and that unique texture. The dough mixes easily without a mixer and bakes into one large cake, which is then cut into individual bars before serving.

- 1.5 cups dark brown sugar
- 2 large eggs

Recipes with similar ingredients: premium flour, eggs, semi-sweet chocolate, chocolate chips (granules), brown sugar
Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- Position a rack in the middle of the oven and preheat the oven to 175°C.
- Place the butter in a microwave-safe bowl, cover, and microwave on medium power until melted. Alternatively, melt the butter in a small saucepan. Grease the inside of a 9 x 13-inch (22 x 32 cm) pan with a small amount of butter and let the remaining butter cool slightly. In a large bowl, whisk together the remaining butter, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Using a spoon or spatula, fold the dry mixture into the wet mixture. The batter should be thick, and all the flour mixture should be completely incorporated. Stir in the chocolate chips with a spatula.
- Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan. Bake until the edges are golden brown and the center is completely set, about 30 minutes.
- Cool completely, at least 1 hour, cut into 24 pieces and serve.
Note
When measuring flour, spoon it into a dry measuring cup and remove any excess. Scooping flour directly from the bag with a measuring cup will compact it, resulting in dry baked goods..
