These cakes will be the highlight of any party or celebration. They're easy to make and delicious. Peanut butter lovers will especially appreciate them. First, a large cake layer made with oatmeal and peanut butter is baked, topped with toffee pieces. The cake is then topped with a peanut butter topping. Once the topping has set, it's cut into individual bars.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 110 g butter, room temperature + extra for greasing the pan
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cups tightly packed brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup + 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup premium flour
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 cup quick-cooking oatmeal
  • 170 gr. toffee granules (about 1 tbsp.)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 4 tbsp. milk

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Preheat oven to 175°C and grease a 22x32x5cm baking dish.
  2. Using a mixer, beat the butter with the white and brown sugars and 0.5 cups of peanut butter. Add the egg and vanilla extract. Sift the flour with the baking soda and salt. Mix the oats with the flour and fold the flour mixture into the butter mixture. Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Sprinkle with toffee pieces and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown around the edges.

  3. Mix powdered sugar with milk and the remaining 1/4 cup peanut butter until smooth, then spread the frosting evenly over the warm cake. Let cool completely and cut into square bars.
