Time: 20 min.
Complexity: easily
Servings: 4-6

All kids love pasta, especially when it's fun-shaped and filled with the delicate flavor of butter. Boil some farfalle and make a simple butter sauce. It'll take just minutes. If your child doesn't mind a little spice, you can add a small pinch of nutmeg to the sauce. It will perfectly complement the creamy flavor of the pasta. Sprinkle generously with grated cheese and serve with meat, chicken, or just on its own. Perfect for both breakfast and dinner.

The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 450 g of bow-shaped pasta (farfalle)
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into pieces
  • Freshly grated nutmeg
  • Freshly grated parmesan

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:

  1. In a large saucepan, bring water to a boil over high heat and season generously with salt. Add the pasta and cook, stirring occasionally, until al dente, about 12 minutes. Drain the pasta in a colander, reserving 3-4 tablespoons of the cooking water in the bottom of the pan.
  2. Return the pan to low heat. Whisk in the butter, one piece at a time, waiting for it to melt before adding the next, to create a creamy sauce. Add the pasta to the sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste and sprinkle with nutmeg, if desired. Add a little warm water if the pasta is shiny. Divide the pasta among warm plates and serve hot, sprinkling each serving with Parmesan cheese, if desired.
