To make this salad, use unusually shaped pasta. Kids will love not only eating it but also cooking it with you, as pasta is the easiest way to introduce young children to the culinary arts. In addition to the pasta, this salad also includes fried bacon, grape tomatoes, diced cheddar, and fresh basil. It's delicious for both kids and adults!



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 340 g of pasta of any interesting shape
  • 8 thin slices of bacon
  • 0.5 cup mayonnaise
  • 0.5 cups whole milk
  • 3 tablespoons white vinegar
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • A little sugar (optional)
  • 280 g grape tomatoes (yellow and red), halved lengthwise
  • 220 g cheddar, cut into small cubes
  • 3 green onions, thinly sliced
  • Ground black pepper
  • 24 fresh basil leaves, thinly sliced

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Cook the pasta according to package directions. Then drain and rinse under cold water to cool completely. Set aside.
  2. Cut the bacon into 1-cm pieces and place in a large skillet. Fry until lightly crisp, then transfer to a paper towel-lined plate.

  3. For refuelingIn a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, milk, vinegar, salt, and sugar. In a large salad bowl, combine the pasta, dressing, tomatoes, bacon, cheddar, and green onions.
  4. Taste and add more salt and black pepper if needed. Sprinkle with basil and serve.
