You can make more than just cereal and milk out of cereal. When held together with melted marshmallows, they become crunchy dessert bars that kids and adults alike will love. This version features lemon juice and zest, along with lemon cookie crumbs for a refreshing citrus flavor. This dessert requires no baking: just let it set at room temperature and enjoy!



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 280 gr. mini marshmallow
  • 6 cups of rice cereal
  • 12 crushed lemon butter cookies
  • 0.5 cups white chocolate pieces

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Line a 9 x 13-inch baking dish with foil, leaving a 2-inch overhang; spray with cooking spray. In a large saucepan, melt 4 tablespoons butter over low heat. Add 10 ounces mini marshmallows and stir until melted and smooth. Stir in 1 tablespoon each grated lemon zest and lemon juice and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract.
  2. Turn off the heat, add 6 cups of rice cereal, 12 cookies, and 0.5 cups of white chocolate chips. Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and let it set. Cut into pieces.
