Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- Grease a 9-inch (22 cm) straight-sided loaf pan thoroughly with butter.
- In a large heavy-bottomed saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Cook, stirring, until the butter foams and turns golden brown, 3–4 minutes. Add the marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Add salt and stir again.
- Remove the pan from the heat and pour in the cereal. Stir gently. Then add the rainbow marshmallows and stir. Some pieces will melt, but some will remain whole—that's okay.
- Pour the mixture into a greased pan and spread it out with a wooden spoon or spatula. Sprinkle with rainbow sprinkles while still warm. Let cool completely, about 20 minutes.
- Once the dessert has cooled, place the white chocolate in a heatproof bowl over simmering water. Heat, stirring, until the chocolate is melted and completely smooth. Let cool for about a minute.
- Drizzle the dessert with white chocolate and let it set for 5 minutes. Cut into 4 cm squares.
