Recipe for crispy chickpeas baked in the oven.


Ingredients:

  • 850 g canned chickpeas, drained and rinsed under water
  • Spray with vegetable oil
  • 2 tbsp. l. olive oil
  • 1 - 2 tsp smoky sea salt
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Place the oven rack in the middle position and preheat to 180 degrees Celsius. Grease a baking sheet with vegetable oil.
  • Step 2
  • Place the chickpeas on a clean kitchen towel or several paper towels and dry thoroughly.

    In a medium bowl, combine the drained chickpeas with olive oil. Season with sea salt and toss. Spread evenly on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Step 3
  • Roast the chickpeas, shaking the baking sheet occasionally, until crispy, about 50-60 minutes.

    Cool for one hour; the chickpeas will become crispy once completely cooled. Best eaten the same day they're prepared.
