Sandra Lee grills beef sausages with cheese and tops them with onions cooked in beer sauce.
The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:
- 4 tbsp (60 g) butter
- 2 thinly sliced red onions
- 1 thinly sliced onion
- 1 bottle of beer, 0.33l.
- Vegetable oil for greasing the grill
- 8 fresh ground beef sausages with cheese
- 8 buns for hot dogs made from coarsely ground rye flour with sesame seeds
- Coarse grain mustard

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- Preheat a charcoal or gas grill to high heat using direct heat. Melt the butter in a large skillet. Add the onion and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the onion is soft. Pour the beer over the mixture, cover the pan, and cook for another 10 minutes. Remove the lid and let the mixture simmer. Cook for 5 minutes, or until most of the beer has evaporated.
- Reduce the heat slightly and brush the grill grates with vegetable oil. Bake the sausages for 8-10 minutes, allowing 4-5 minutes per side. Bake the hot dog buns until crispy. To serve, place each sausage on a hot dog bun and top with a little sauce, onions, and mustard.
