Pecan Waffles - a detailed recipe.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 3/4 cup pecans
  • 1.5 cups premium flour
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1/2 cup kefir
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp (30 g) butter, melted and cooled, plus more for greasing
  • 1/4 cup margarine, melted and cooled
  • Maple syrup, for serving

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Preheat oven to 180°C. Place pecans on a baking sheet and bake for 5-7 minutes. Cool, then chop. Reduce oven temperature to 90°C.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, and baking soda. In a separate bowl, whisk the egg, milk, kefir, and vanilla extract until smooth. Then, combine the egg mixture, melted butter, and margarine with the flour mixture.

  3. Preheat a waffle iron and grease it with melted butter. Pour the batter into the waffle iron in batches and sprinkle with 2 tablespoons of toasted pecans.

    Bake the waffles until golden brown, then transfer them to a baking sheet and keep warm in the oven. Continue baking the remaining waffles.

    When serving, place a piece of butter on each waffle and drizzle with maple syrup.
