Chocolate wafers - detailed recipe.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 3 tbsp (45 g) butter
  • 3 tablespoons of margarine
  • 2 cups premium wheat flour
  • 1 tbsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons of sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1/2 cup chocolate syrup
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Powdered sugar, chocolate syrup, berries, for serving (optional)

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Melt the butter and margarine in a small saucepan and remove from the heat. Sift the flour into a large bowl and mix with the baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  2. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs, add the milk, chocolate syrup, and vanilla extract, and mix. Add the egg mixture to the flour and mix. The batter will be slightly lumpy. Add the melted butter and margarine and mix until smooth.

  3. Preheat the oven to 120°C. Heat the waffle iron and grease it with vegetable oil. Pour some batter into the waffle iron (depending on the size of the waffle iron) and cook until crispy. Transfer the waffles to a baking sheet and keep warm in the oven while you cook the rest.
  4. Place the waffles on plates, sprinkle with powdered sugar, berries and drizzle with chocolate syrup.
