Chocolate pudding is a traditional English dish. The original recipe includes flour, fresh eggs, milk, and sugar. It's a delicious and incredibly tender dessert that everyone should try.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


Chocolate pudding

  • 1 3/4 cups prepared chocolate pudding mix, recipe below
  • 2 cups of milk
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanillin extract

Dry mix for chocolate pudding

  • 85 g cocoa, about 1 tbsp.
  • 55 g cornstarch, about 0.5 tbsp.
  • 170 g powdered sugar, approximately 1.5 tbsp.
  • 55g low-fat dry milk, about 0.5 cups
  • 1 teaspoon of salt

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Place 1 3/4 cups of the pudding mixture in a medium saucepan. Add the milk and heavy cream and whisk. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, whisking gently. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 4 minutes, whisking constantly. Remove the mixture from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract. Strain the mixture through a sieve.
  2. Pour the pudding into individual serving bowls or a 1000–1500 ml serving dish. Cover the surface of the pudding with cling film. Refrigerate for 4 hours until completely chilled.

    In a large bowl or plastic container with a lid, combine the cocoa, cornstarch, sugar, dry milk powder, and salt. Store in an airtight container for up to a month.
