This silky chocolate dessert is perfect for party serving and is easy to whip up in a blender in about 10 minutes.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 255 g semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
  • 1.5 cups whole milk
  • 1.5 cups heavy cream
  • 6 yolks from large eggs
  • 5 tbsp. granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tbsp powdered sugar

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Place the chocolate in a blender. In a medium heavy-bottomed saucepan, combine the milk, 1 cup of cream, egg yolks, granulated sugar, and salt over medium heat. Cook, stirring occasionally with a heatproof spatula, for 5-6 minutes, until the mixture is thick enough to coat the spatula and just barely simmering.
  2. Immediately pour the milk mixture over the chocolate in the blender. Cover and hold the lid with a thick kitchen towel. Blend until smooth, stopping to scrape down the sides as needed. Divide the chocolate mixture among ramekins or small bowls and refrigerate for about 2 hours to set.

  3. Beat the remaining 1/2 cup of cream and powdered sugar in a mixer or blender until soft peaks form. Top each serving of pudding with whipped cream.
