This chocolate pudding recipe is silky, smooth, and rich. To make it, stir the hot chocolate mixture into egg yolks beaten with sugar, stirring thoroughly to prevent the yolks from curdling. To serve, pour the pudding into beautiful clear glasses or bowls and let it set. The highlight of this dessert is the cinnamon whipped cream topping. Its sweet and spicy flavor perfectly complements the rich chocolate.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


Pudding

  • 2 large egg yolks
  • 0.5 cups of sugar
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 3 cups whole milk
  • 150 g dark chocolate, chopped
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract

Whipped cream with cinnamon

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. In a large bowl, whisk the egg yolks with the sugar and cornstarch.
  2. Combine the milk, chocolate, and salt in a saucepan and heat over medium heat, stirring until the chocolate melts. Gradually pour the hot chocolate mixture into the egg mixture, whisking constantly. Pour it back into the saucepan and whisk until thickened, 12-15 minutes. Remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla, then divide the mixture among 6-8 dessert cups. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until completely set, about 2 hours.

  3. Make cinnamon whipped creamMeanwhile, in a bowl, beat the cream and sugar until soft peaks form; stir in the cinnamon. Serve with the pudding.
