This simple, quick-to-make dessert is sure to please the whole family. Its taste is as good as its appearance. In addition to the berries listed in the recipe, you can use other fruits, such as fresh peaches. Paired with sweet, crusty bread, it's a practically foolproof dessert.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 2 ciabatta for sandwiches
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice mix
  • 570 ml strawberries, sliced
  • 280 ml blueberries
  • 280 ml raspberries
  • Juice and zest of 1 lemon
  • 4 tbsp (60 g) butter, melted
  • 230 g whipped cream
  • Fresh mint, for garnish

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Heat grill to medium heat.
  2. In a small bowl, combine sugar with pumpkin pie spice mixIn a large bowl, combine the berries with half the lemon zest, juice, and half the sugar and spice mixture. Let the berries soak for 15 minutes.

  3. Cut each ciabatta in half lengthwise, then cut each half at an angle. Brush the cut halves with melted butter and sprinkle with the remaining sugar and spice mixture. Place on the grill. Cook until the sugar is toasted and caramelized (3-4 minutes).
  4. Combine the remaining lemon zest with the whipped cream and stir. Remove the bread from the grill. Divide it among serving plates. Top each slice with 1/2 cup of the berry mixture. Serve with a dollop of whipped cream and garnish with mint.
