For this cocktail, you can use vanilla, chocolate, or coffee ice cream—whatever your taste. Place a scoop in a chilled glass, top with stout, and garnish with homemade Irish whiskey-flavored whipped cream. The combination of beer and ice cream may seem strange, but you have to try it! A cocktail and dessert for adults in one glass.

Ingredients:

  • 0.5 cup chilled heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp Irish whiskey + more to taste
  • 2 teaspoons of sugar
  • 2 cups vanilla, chocolate, or coffee ice cream
  • 1 bottle (0.33 l) of Guinness or other stout, chilled
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Combine the cream, whiskey, and sugar in a bowl and beat until soft peaks form. Taste and add more whiskey if needed.
  • Step 2
  • Divide the ice cream between two chilled glasses, then very slowly pour Guinness into each. Be careful not to let the foam escape. Serve garnished with whiskey-flavored whipped cream.
