Serving cocktails in an open bar format is ideal if you have a large group. Everyone can come up and make their own Poplavok cocktail: with vanilla or chocolate ice cream, or with chocolate or caramel sauce. Arrange all the ingredients conveniently on the table and invite your guests!

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups chocolate ice cream
  • 2 cups vanilla ice cream
  • 1 cup chocolate sauce
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 4 bottles of alcoholic root beer
  • 1/4 cup cherries in liqueur
  • Special equipment: 8 chilled beer glasses
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Place 2 scoops of any ice cream into a chilled beer glass. Drizzle with 1-2 tablespoons of chocolate or caramel sauce.
  • Step 2
  • Pour half a bottle of root beer over the ice cream. Garnish with a cherry, if desired. Serve with a long spoon and straw.
