Enjoy the classic coffee and donut pairing in the form of a fizzy float. It's summery fun, delicious, and refreshing. Scoops of coffee ice cream are topped with coffee soda, and the float is topped with mini donuts. Thread your favorite donuts, like chocolate-covered or powdered, onto a straw and enjoy!

  • 2 tbsp store-bought chocolate sauce
  • 1/4 tsp instant espresso powder
  • 1 cup coffee ice cream (about 3 large scoops)
  • 3/4 cup coffee soda, such as Manhattan Special, or cream soda
  • Sweet whipped cream, for garnish
  • 2 mini donuts
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the chocolate sauce and instant espresso until smooth.
  • Step 2
  • Place the coffee ice cream in a tall glass and drizzle with coffee-chocolate syrup. Pour coffee soda over the ice cream and top with whipped cream. Add a straw and thread mini donuts onto it, which can rest right on the rim of the glass. Serve.
