A recipe for an alcoholic cocktail called a float, made with ice cream and strawberries topped with Prosecco sparkling wine.

Cocktail float A slushie is an ice cream-based drink with carbonated water and various other ingredients. The specialty of this cocktail is that whipped cream or ice cream is placed on top, creating a floating effect.


Ingredients:

  • 550 ml strawberries, quartered
  • 1 tbsp. sugar
  • 550 ml of quality vanilla ice cream
  • 750 ml chilled Prosecco sparkling wine
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

    Step 1
  • In a medium bowl, combine strawberries and sugar and let sit for 30 minutes.

    Place the strawberries in 4 wine glasses, add 1 scoop of ice cream to each, and top with Prosecco sparkling wine.
