Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
  • 3 and 1/4 cups tomato-oyster juice, see below for preparation
  • 3/4 tsp hot sauce (recommended: Tobasco)
  • Salt for decorating glasses
  • 2 cans (330 ml each) of beer
  • Celery sticks for garnish
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • In a pitcher, combine lime juice, tomato-oyster juice, and hot sauce. Stir well and refrigerate. Sprinkle a small amount of salt into a shallow bowl. Wet the rims of tall glasses and dip them in the salt.
  • Step 2
  • Fill glasses with ice and pour in the cocktail. Add beer and garnish each glass with a celery stick.

    Tomato-oyster juice

    Mix 1/4 cup oyster broth with 3 cups tomato juice.
