Onion Bloody Mary cocktail - detailed recipe.

The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:

  • 1 small shallot, finely chopped
  • 1/2 stalk celery, thinly sliced
  • 1 radish, thinly sliced
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper
  • 150 ml of chilled vodka
  • 150 ml chilled tomato juice
  • 1 lemon, cut in half
  • 1 tsp. Angostura bitters
  • 2 tsp creamy horseradish
  • 1/4 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 tsp hot sauce

We recommend

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:

  1. Place the shallots in a sieve and rinse under cold water (this will help them stay crisp and remove some of the onion flavor). Drain. Transfer the shallots to a bowl, add the celery and radishes, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Combine vodka, tomato juice, the juice of half a lemon, bitters, creamy horseradish, Worcestershire sauce, and hot sauce in a pitcher. Add salt and pepper to taste.

  3. Place some ice in two glasses. Add a tablespoon of the vegetable mixture, then pour in the tomato mixture, filling the glasses three-quarters full. Add another tablespoon of the vegetable mixture. Add a splash of vodka and squeeze the juice from the remaining lemon half.
