Martini with bourbon, beer, and maple syrup

To make the cocktail as sweet and savory as possible, Giada De Laurentiis recommends shaking the bourbon, beer, and syrup with ice cubes and serving in chilled martini glasses. She garnishes each cocktail with a chili pepper, which not only adds a subtle kick but also looks incredibly beautiful.


Ingredients:

  • 1 cup chilled bourbon
  • 1/4 cup chilled dark beer
  • 1/4 cup chilled natural maple syrup
  • Ice cubes
  • 1 whole nutmeg
  • 4 small dried red chili peppers (washed and dried)
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Pour bourbon, beer and maple syrupFill a shaker with ice cubes. Close and shake about 8 times.

    Strain and pour evenly into 4 large chilled martini glasses.

    Grate 1/8 teaspoon of nutmeg into each glass using a grater. Add a chili pepper to each glass and stir. Serve the cocktail very chilled.
