Step-by-step recipe for making an Espresso Martini cocktail with chocolate.


Ingredients:

  • 110 g finely chopped dark chocolate
  • 2/3 cup brewed espresso, cooled
  • 2/3 cup coffee liqueur, such as Kahlua
  • 2/3 cup vanilla-flavored vodka
  • Ice
  • Special equipment: cocktail shaker
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • In a small bowl, combine the chocolate with 1/4 cup water and place over a saucepan of gently simmering water. Stir for 2 minutes, until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth. Set aside and let cool slightly.
  • Step 2
  • Take 4 martini glasses and dip the rims in melted chocolate. Let any excess drip into a bowl. Freeze the glasses for 10 minutes.
  • Step 3
  • Combine espresso, coffee liqueur, and vodka in a pitcher. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Pour the vodka mixture into the shaker in several batches and shake for 10 seconds. Strain the cocktail into prepared glasses and serve.
