The Lemon Drop Martini, a vodka cocktail with honey syrup, offers a warmer aroma and a softer flavor than its famous orange liqueur counterpart. Ingredients:


Martini
  • 1 cup lemon juice (5–6 lemons)
  • Half a 0.75 liter bottle of vodka or gin
  • Lemon slices for decoration

Honey syrup
  • 0.5 cups honey
  • 0.5 cups of warm water
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Honey syrupIn a small saucepan, heat the honey and water over medium heat. Bring to a boil and stir until the honey dissolves, about 1 minute. Cool the syrup and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
  • Step 2
  • MartiniIn a decanter or pitcher, combine lemon juice, vodka or gin, 3/4 cup honey syrup, and 1.5 cups water. Refrigerate for 3-4 hours. Before serving, pour the cocktail into chilled martini glasses and garnish with lemon wedges.
