Frozen Margarita with Beer

How to Make a Frozen Margarita with Beer
Kitchen:American,
Time: 5 hours 15 minutes
Complexity: easily
Servings: 4

For those who enjoy a refreshing summer drink with a cold beer and a tart Margarita, you no longer have to choose between the two. Mix them in one glass! Mexican beer infuses the classic Margarita with a new flavor. Freeze the tequila, orange, and lime juice base. Scrape it with a fork to loosen it up, creating a snowy texture. Then, spoon the frozen Margarita into glasses and top with beer. Garnish with a lime wedge and enjoy!

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup silver tequila
  • 0.5 cup freshly squeezed lime juice (about 5 limes) + wedges for serving
  • 0.5 cup freshly squeezed orange juice (about 1 orange)
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2 bottles of 0.33 l Mexican Pilsner, chilled
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Mix tequila, lime juice, orange juice, and sugar until the sugar dissolves. Pour the mixture into a baking dish and freeze for about 5 hours. Scrape the mixture with a fork to break it into small ice crystals.
  • Step 2
  • Place 2 tablespoons of salt in a small bowl. Wet the rims of four large martini glasses with a lime wedge and press them into the salt. Divide the frozen margaritas among the glasses, then top each serving with half the beer. Garnish with lime wedges and serve.
