Frozen Avocado Margarita

How to Make Frozen Avocado Margaritas
Kitchen:American,
Time: 10 min.
Complexity: easily
Quantity: 1 cocktail

Avocado and a Margarita may seem like an unlikely pairing, but don't let the combination scare you! Few people can resist a good frozen Margarita, especially on a hot summer day, and the avocado makes the snowy texture smoother and creamier, adding a refreshing herbaceous color. Since the cocktail is blended with ice, you'll need a powerful blender. Pour the mixture into a salt-garnished glass and serve immediately with a lime wedge.

Ingredients:

  • 3 tablespoons of Blanco tequila
  • 3 tbsp freshly squeezed lime juice + 1 lime, cut into wedges
  • 1 tbsp. amber agave nectar
  • 1 tbsp. triple sec liqueur
  • 1 cup of ice
  • 1/4 fresh avocado, peeled (about 1/4 cup)
  • Coarse salt for rimming the glass
  • Special equipment: powerful blender
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

We recommend

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Combine tequila, lime juice, agave syrup, triple sec, and ice in a high-power blender. Blend until the ice is crushed and the mixture is smooth, about 20 seconds. Add the avocado and blend gently, about 10 more seconds. The mixture will be smooth and runny. Don't overmix, otherwise the cocktail will become too thick..
  • Step 2
  • Wet the rim of the glass with a lime wedge. Dip the rim in coarse salt. Pour the Margarita into the glass and garnish with another lime wedge.
