Step-by-step recipe for a cocktail with whiskey and champagne.


Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 vanilla bean, cut in half and seeds scraped out
  • Whiskey or bourbon
  • Champagne or sparkling wine, chilled
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Combine the sugar, water, vanilla bean, and seeds in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat and simmer until the sugar dissolves. Let cool to room temperature, then remove the vanilla bean.
  • Step 2
  • Add 1 shot of whiskey and 2 tablespoons of vanilla syrup to a chilled champagne flute. Fill to the top with sparkling wine and serve.
