A tart cherry wine sauce complements vanilla ice cream perfectly, balancing its flavor, and the dessert isn't too sweet, perfect for an after-dinner treat. The sauce is made with frozen cherries, sugar, dry red wine, and wine vinegar. A cinnamon stick adds its wonderful aroma to the cherries. The sauce can be served with more than just ice cream. Try drizzling it over sponge cake, pie, or cheesecake.
