Fried bacon with a maple syrup glaze captivates with its wonderful flavor, which harmoniously combines salty, smoky, and sweet caramel notes. It can be used in sandwiches or simply served as a snack. This bacon is baked in the oven, and to prevent the slices from swimming in the rendered fat and to ensure even crispiness, bake them on a rack placed on a rimmed baking sheet. Apply maple syrup a few minutes before the bacon is done to prevent it from burning and to ensure a wonderful, sticky glaze.
