Impress your guests with an unexpected appetizer of crispy fried bacon covered in chocolate. This exotic snack has long been popular in the United States. Despite the seemingly incompatible ingredients, you'll be pleasantly surprised by how the salty bacon tastes in harmony with the bittersweet flavor of chocolate.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 16 thick slices smoked bacon, fried until crispy, cool, cut in half
  • 3 bars (120g each) dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1 bar (120 g) white chocolate, chopped

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Melt the dark and white chocolate in separate bowls over a double boiler. Stir until smooth. Remove from heat.
  2. Dip the bacon pieces completely in dark chocolate. Let any excess drip off and place the bacon on a waxed paper-lined tray.

  3. Drizzle dark chocolate covered bacon with white chocolate.

    Place the tray in the refrigerator for 20–30 minutes. Then transfer the chocolate-covered bacon to a serving platter and serve.
