These miniature puff pastries with spicy jalapeño rings will appeal not only to true cowboys but also to anyone who loves savory appetizers. They're easy and hassle-free to make using store-bought puff pastry. Cut out circles, sprinkle with a mixture of Parmesan and Manchego cheese, add jalapeño rings, and bake. Serve these mini puff pastries warm. This simple yet delicious appetizer is perfect for any occasion, from a big celebration to a beer party at home.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry (from a 500g package), thawed
  • 1 tbsp salted butter, melted
  • 1 cup grated Manchego cheese
  • 1 tbsp. grated parmesan
  • 1 can (340 g) pickled jalapeño rings, drain the liquid
  • Premium flour for working with dough
  • Special equipment: round cookie cutter with a diameter of 4 cm.

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Preheat oven to 200°C; Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. On a floured surface, carefully roll out the dough into a 25 x 30 cm rectangle. Prick the entire surface of the dough with the tines of a fork, then brush it with melted butter. Sprinkle with Manchego cheese and 1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese. Using a rolling pin, press the cheese into the dough.

  3. Using a 4 cm diameter cutter, cut out circles from the dough. Gently press 1 jalapeño slice into the center of each circle. Transfer to prepared baking sheets. Sprinkle with the remaining 1/2 cup Parmesan.
  4. Bake until golden brown, 10-12 minutes. Let cool slightly and serve.
