The highlight of this casserole is the crispy topping of deep-fried onions and crispy bacon bits. It's irresistible! It's easy and effortless to make, yet looks absolutely stunning. This casserole makes a wonderful accompaniment to holiday meat or poultry. Let it cool slightly before serving to allow the sauce to thicken.
