Cooking the dish according to the recipe:
- Cut the bread in half lengthwise. Spread mayonnaise on one half and mustard on the other. Place the ham and Swiss cheese on one half of the bread. Place the cucumbers on top of the cheese. Top with the other half of the bread.
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat enough butter to coat the bottom completely. Place the sandwich in the skillet and press it down with another heavy skillet or a foil-wrapped brick. Grill until the cheese is melted. Cut the bread to make 4 sandwiches.
