Pressed sandwich "Cubano" - detailed recipe.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 2 slices roasted or pressed pork (55-85 g)
  • 2.5 slices of ham (about 85 g)
  • 2.5 slices Swiss cheese (about 55g)
  • 1 Cuban baguette (30 cm) or a soft bun for large sandwiches
  • 1 tbsp softened butter, plus a little extra for greasing the pan
  • 3 slices of pickled cucumber
  • 1 tbsp mustard

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Place a large frying pan over medium heat. Add a small amount of butter.

    Cut the baguette in half lengthwise. Spread one half evenly with 1 tablespoon of butter and the other with mustard. Top the bottom half with ham, roast pork, cheese, and cucumbers. Cover with the top half.
  2. Place the sandwich in the pan and press it down with your hands, a spatula, or another pan. Cook for about 30 seconds, flip, and cook the other side until golden brown and the cheese is melted. Cut in half.
