A sweet and tart apple is the perfect ingredient for a hearty salami and cheese sandwich if you're looking for a lighter, juicier, and healthier snack. Granny Smith apples or other similarly crisp varieties are ideal. Slice them very thinly and assemble your healthy sandwich on whole-grain bread.
