Fried chicken breasts in apple glaze - a detailed recipe.



The recipes use measuring containers with the following volumes:
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Ingredients for the recipe:


  • 1 kg of chicken breasts on the bone, cut into large pieces
  • Salt
  • 2 tbsp. l. olive oil
  • 2 apples (1 red, 1 green), cored and cut into slices
  • 8 medium shallots, quartered
  • 1/4 cup fresh sage leaves
  • 1/2 cup lightly salted chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar

Cooking the dish according to the recipe:


  1. Pound the chicken breasts and season with salt. Heat olive oil in a large skillet. Add the chicken breasts, skin side down, and fry over high heat until golden brown, about 5 minutes.
  2. Turn the chicken breasts over and add the apples, shallots, and sage. Reduce the heat and cook for another 5 minutes. Transfer the chicken breasts to a serving dish and continue cooking, stirring, with the apples and shallots, for about 2 more minutes.

  3. Meanwhile, prepare the glaze: In a bowl, combine the chicken broth, maple syrup, vinegar, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Add the mixture to the skillet with the apples and onions, bring to a boil, and simmer for 2-3 minutes. Return the chicken breasts to the skillet and cook, turning, for about 2 more minutes.
