  • 1 onion, peeled and cut into thin half rings
  • 6 Mackintosh apples, peeled, cored and sliced
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar (packed firmly)
  • 3 teaspoons of salt
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup red wine vinegar
  • 2 cups chicken broth

3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.

    Step 1
  • Place the cabbage, onion, and apples in a baking dish. Combine the sugar, salt, pepper, red wine vinegar, and chicken broth in a saucepan. Heat until the sugar dissolves.

    Pour the liquid over the cabbage mixture. Cover and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 1 hour, until the cabbage is tender.
